Does your Subaru have wind noise? This problem is noticeable above 30mph and excessively loud at freeway speeds. I have only seen this problem with Subaru Foresters but I’m pretty sure it applies to the Subaru Legacy or even the Baja. As long as the door has the same style triangle pillars and rubber seal. The vehicle shown in the article is a 1998 Subaru Forester with about 140,000 miles. The seal is deteriorated and damaged and will need replaced to correct the wind noise problem. When the seal is in good condition and there’s wind noise we would install foam around mirrors mounting surface and pack the triangle speaker covers with foam to quiet it up. This was on the newer Subaru Foresters years ago, nowadays the noise is usually caused by the deteriorated triangle seal. Installing the foam wind noise kit will help reduce the noise even if the seal is bad.
